In May 2015 Gerald joined forces with Colin Searle to produce a set of nine stamps to commemorate the 400th Anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare in 1616.  The stamps are to be followed by a series of three covers dealing with Tragedies, Comedies and Histories.  Each cover will bear three of the stamps and appropriate cancellations.

The stamps take the basic design of those issued in the 1890s to raise funds for Shakespeare’s church – Holy Trinity at Stratford upon Avon) and Gerry has changed the values, colours, gum and perforation.
